YYDS Entertainment, the successful production house behind the Thai BL drama "I Feel You Linger in the Air," announced its adaptation of the novel "Professional Body Double (职业替身)" by Shui Qian Cheng into a drama titled "My Stand In." The series is set to premiere on iQIYI in 2024.
"Professional Body Double" tells the story of Zhou Xiang, a stuntman who died in a film shooting accident. Two years after his death, he awakens in someone else's body, also a stuntman, living a life continually bound to the fate of being a 'substitute', both in his past life and the present.
The novel 职业替身 (Professional Body Double) by Shui Qian Cheng (水千丞) is one of the most popular BL novels in China, released in 2012 and published on iQIYI Read in 3 volumes consisting of 121 chapters.
In a Weibo post, Author Shui Qian Cheng announced discussions with the Thai production, including the director and screenplay writer, regarding the plot derived from the novel.
"I had a video chat with the director and screenwriter about the plot, and I felt their sincerity. I'm eagerly looking forward to it!" wrote Shui Qian Cheng.
She also confirmed that the series has begun shooting by YYDS Entertainment. Shui Qian Cheng revealed that the director for the series is Pepzi Banchorn Vorasataree, who previously successfully directed the popular 2022 BL drama "Kinn Porsche The Series."

As for the cast, Author Shui Qian Cheng further disclosed that the actors are currently kept confidential. She also expressed her enthusiastic anticipation for the reveal of the actors set to portray roles in the adaptation of his novel.
"The actors are still kept confidential, I'm also looking forward to the casting, haha," wrote Shui Qian Cheng in the comments section of his Weibo account.
However, according to YYDS Entertainment's X account (Twitter), they will soon announce the three main actors today (07/10), so let's wait and see.
