In this drama, Joo Seung-hyeok plays the role of Dongho, a popular and athletic high school student. Meanwhile, Park Jun Mok plays Hyeon, a shy and quiet high school student.
The story begins when Hyeon writes about his feelings for Dongho in a diary. Dongho then discovers the diary, and they start talking to confirm their feelings.
Set against a high school backdrop, "Happy Ending" is predicted to be a sweet and romantic BL drama.

Based on available information, the film version of this drama was produced before Choco Milk Shake was aired. This can be seen from several Facebook posts indicating that the filming for the Happy Ending drama was completed on August 31, 2022.
In addition, actor Park Jun Mok shared information about "Happy Ending" on Instagram on October 19, 2022. He mentioned that 'Happy Ending' is one of his works in 2022, and he also provided details that the 20-minute film "Happy Ending" would be screened on November 7, 2022, at the SIPFF (Seoul International Pride Film Festival 2022).
In that post, it was mentioned that the "Happy Ending" film shoot had been completed successfully and showcased two photos of the main actors and a behind-the-scenes camera shot.
