Natsuo Asahi is a new detective who is assigned to the Criminal Division. His first intimate experience was with Koide but he fell in love with Kirino, a senior detective and a lone wolf who is often criticized for his rough investigation. One day, while the two of them are pursuing a robbery at a convenience store, Kirino is stabbed by a criminal due to his own blunder.
